Speaker:Mr. Glenn J. Behrends Mr. Glenn J. Behrends is currently Branch Manager, Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), Huntsville Branch Office. In this capacity, Mr. Behrends has the responsibility for the management and operations of the Huntsville Branch, including a staff of professional auditors and related administrative staff located at the Huntsville Branch and various Suboffice locations in Huntsville and Birmingham. Mr. Behrends has been with DCAA for the past 24 years, beginning in 1983 at the FMC Resident Office in San Jose California. From 1983 to 1986 he worked as an auditor responsible for various audits at FMC, Ground Systems Division. In 1987 Mr. Behrends transferred to the Minneapolis Branch in Minneapolis, Minnesota where, in 1990, he was promoted to Supervisory Auditor. Mr. Behrends worked as Supervisory Auditor in the branch and various suboffice locations in Minneapolis until December of 2001 when he was transferred to DCAA HQ’s Audit Liaison Division as a Financial Liaison Advisor (FLA). As an FLA, Mr. Behrends worked at Tyndall AFB in Florida providing financial advisory services to the U.S. Air Force. In April of 2005, Mr. Behrends was selected as manager of the Huntsville Branch Office. Mr. Behrends has a BA Degree in Business Management with an emphasis in accounting from Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, California. Mr. Behrends passed the CPA exam in November, 1985 and has received numerous awards and recognition throughout his DCAA career. Synopsis:Mr. Glenn Behrends, manager of the DCAA's Huntsville Branch Office will deliver a presentation to the Lunch & Learn audience addressing two areas of interest to the local Government contractors'. The first part of the presentation will address the contractor communities most frequently asked questions pertaining to Government contract accounting. The second part of the presentation will address DCAA's current audit initiatives to include areas of specific audit interest to DCAA as well as recent audit guidance and alerts. Also see: |
